A mod that revives 4x4 Evolution 2: it adds widescreen support, improves texture resolution, fixes game bugs, and includes content from other entries in the series. 1. Extract to any location.
2. Run the file 4x42.exe.
3. When launching, make sure the "Renderer" setting is set to "Direct3D8 Hardware TnL". Without it, the field of view in the garage (and a few other places) will be too narrow, and water bump mapping won’t work.
It is not recommended to minimize the game — after restoring, there is a high chance of a crash when starting a race. The game handles returning from the background very poorly!
