American McGee's Alice HD is a mod for the 2000 release of American McGee's Alice that adds high-resolution textures, a new interface, Reshade, updated menus, and Overkill mode with more enemies.

The resolution of most textures has been increased by 4x, but due to engine limitations, some textures were only increased by 2x. What has not been changed: models, maps, gameplay (except for Overkill).
How to install a mod American McGee's Alice HD
Move the contents of the archive, excluding the files Alice 2021 Reshade and Audio files.zip and Alice intro Simple menu.zip, to the game's root directory
Move the contents of the Alice 2021 Reshade and Audio files archive to the game's Base folder to activate Reshade
Go to the Base folder and delete the pak1_large.pk3 file from it, otherwise the new textures will not be used
(Optional) To install other language packs, delete the zzpak6_mod.pk3 file and replace it with your language pack. German, Spanish, and French are supported. However, since the author lost the main menu PSD, it will remain in English.
(Optional) Delete the z(Mod)OverKill.pk3 file from the Base folder if you don't want the OverKill mode activated in the game (adds more models and enemies to the game).
Play!
Important. Changing any settings in the game will reset all mod settings to default values. If this happens, you will need to move the mod files autoexec.cfg and config.cfg back to the game's root directory with replacement. To prevent this, after making changes to autoexec.cfg and config.cfg, set these files to "read-only"
If you want to play in 2K resolution or 4K, change the parameter values below in the autoexec.cfg file (for example):
