Diablo The Awakening introduces a wide range of changes to the original game. It adds new monsters and bosses, new spells, quests, as well as both normal and unique items. Prefix and suffix values have been rebalanced, the overall difficulty has been increased, and several original Diablo bugs have been fixed — including the duplication glitch, flash bug, invisible walls in Hell, and others.
One of the standout features of Awakening is shared experience: all players gain XP from monster kills, making co-op and online gameplay much more enjoyable. The mod also includes an improved monster status bar, showing the current HP of enemies, as well as HP and resistances or immunities of bosses.
All negative shrines (those that reduce base mana) have been completely removed. Tristram has been visually overhauled with new color palettes, altered NPC placements, and enhanced with new music, cutscenes, and visual assets.
Diablo The Awakening supports both single-player and multiplayer modes. You can play online via a dedicated private Battle.Net server or through Hamachi (select "Local Area Network" when using it).
