FlatOut 2 Splitscreen Mod - a mod for FlatOut 2 that adds splitscreen multiplayer for up to 8 players to the game.

FlatOut 2 supports local multiplayer in stunt competitions, but in races and derby there is no ability to play on one screen. FlatOut 2 Splitscreen Mod adds full splitscreen mode for these game modes for up to 8 players.
Configuration

Set resolution of the game windows

Select a controller for each player
3. In-game
The game will open multiple times, once for each player. All In-game setup can only be performed by using the keyboard and clicking on the window of the instance you're trying to setup.
Go to settings, controller options and select your controller, or use a program like KeyboardSplitterXbox to connect more keyboards by using them as emulated controllers. After that, you can change the button settings. These settings are usually saved between sessions.

Now you can start a multiplayer session by selecting multiplayer -> LAN in the main menu and selecting Create game with the host instance (The top left game.)
Afterwards you can join with all other players by selecting multiplayer -> LAN -> Join Game.
Even though you are playing in LAN mode it is currently not possible to join a splitscreen session from another computer in your network!
4. Advanced Settings
Settings can be changed manually by editing Splitscreen_Settings.xml and starting the Launcher.exe with the command line argument -noConfig
3. Troubleshooting
If the game repeatedly crashes on startup, try disabling "Skip intro videos" in the launcher.
How to install a mod FlatOut 2 Splitscreen Mod
Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 or newer installed.
Make sure you have game version 1.2 installed, as this is the only version compatible with this mod. (exe file size: 2990080 bytes).
Launch the game at least once to automatically create the configuration file required for this mod to work.
Move the archive contents to the game's root directory.
Launch Launcher.exe and configure the game according to the instructions found in the "Description" tab of this page on the website.
