In short, this mod is about fear that doesn't let go from beginning to end. You play as a guy named David who got hooked on pills and finds himself in some nightmarish world. It all starts seemingly mundane — a hospital, dim lights, empty corridors. But the further you go, the more the atmosphere weighs down on you.
Everything here is built on the feeling of vulnerability: you only have a flashlight with limited batteries and very few bullets. There's no peace in the darkness — it feels like someone will jump out at any moment. And they really do jump out. The maps are very diverse: from hospitals to forests, and each one is scary in its own way. Many consider the forest to be one of the most frightening locations you can encounter in games on this engine.
What's interesting is that the game has four different endings that depend on the decisions you make during your playthrough. So you can complete it in different ways, which adds replay value.
Of course, the mod has its rough spots. Sometimes the game is too difficult: enemies are fast, ammo is scarce, and sometimes you have to wander around aimlessly, which can get tedious. But despite this, most players agree on one thing — the mod leaves a lasting impression. This is the kind of game that haunts you with feelings of anxiety and tension long after you finish playing.
