Half-Life: Absolute Zero is a Half-Life mod that aims to recreate the early ideas and plans of the original developers, as seen in the builds from late 1997 to early 1998. It brings back cut chapters, visual style, monsters, and weapons with careful polish and attention to detail.

This mod is a work of fiction. It recreates early Half-Life screenshots, but due to a lack of information about certain areas, the authors had to rely on the logic of old maps and their own imagination to envision how missing elements might have looked and how levels could have been connected. The mod should not be seen as an accurate representation of the beta version or its original appearance – it is a creative interpretation.
