Heroes IV - Ultimate is a large-scale mod for Heroes of Might and Magic IV that expands the original game without changing factions. It adds new creatures, spells, artifacts and abilities, HD mode, improved graphics and icons, new objects and reworked campaigns, making the game more modern and content-rich.

The Heroes IV - Ultimate mod comprehensively improves the original game. It preserves the structure and factions of classic Heroes IV, but deeply reworks the content: renames and visually updates many creatures, adds new abilities and ranged attacks to them, introduces new spells, artifacts and abilities.
The mod includes built-in HD mode with widescreen support, updated main menu, improved color correction, filtering and a large number of reworked icons, hero and creature portraits. New map objects have been added to the game, dwellings for creatures that didn't have them in the original, as well as new units.
Campaigns from the original Heroes IV and both expansions have been completely reworked taking into account all innovations, so new mechanics are organically revealed during gameplay. Ultimate makes the familiar game visually more modern, deeper in mechanics and more diverse, while remaining true to the spirit of the original.

Possible Issues
AI may take too long thinking over its turns, literally minutes. To speed up turns, launch the game in windowed mode (F4 key), then go to "Options" and uncheck "Cold CPU" and "Single core" - this should help.
