The creators of C&C Red Alert 2: Reborn aimed for a feeling of "rebirth" of the series through updated balance, expanded tactical capabilities, and fresh visual and audio style. Over years of development, the mod has repeatedly changed, getting rid of excess and keeping only the best.
Features
19 countries: 8 belong to the Soviets, 7 to the Alliance, and 4 to Yuri, each with their own features and unique units.
New units: 10 combat vehicles and 2 infantry types for each side, as well as special commandos and veterans.
Super units: one (and for some countries — two) unique combat colossus per country, costing up to 10,000 credits.
Redesigned AI: now it's active, aggressive, and capable of using all new features, turning battles into real chaos.
Updated balance: old units and buildings have been reworked to make combat more dynamic and diverse.
New content: over 60 new maps, reworked models, new effects, and themed soundtracks for each faction.
Network support: the mod works through CnCNet, with an active community and IRC channel for network battles.
Gameplay
Reborn offers large-scale battles where each country has its own technologies:
The Alliance relies on stealth, chrono, and prism systems;
The Soviet bloc uses nuclear, tesla, and missile technologies;
Yuri develops genetic, psychic, and chaos technologies.
Gameplay features a high pace, numerous experimental units, and unpredictable situations. Balance is often disrupted in favor of spectacle — this is what makes the mod especially fun in multiplayer.
Campaign
A story campaign was planned but never implemented — the mod focuses on skirmishes and network battles.
