Xash3D Engine is a game engine designed to run games created on Valve's GoldSrc engine, such as Half-Life and its mods. It offers improved performance, enhanced settings, and stability compared to the original engine.

Extract the archive to any folder.
Place the contents of the valve folder from the game’s root directory into this folder.
Run hl.exe.
If the game does not start, move the contents of the Xash3D_extras.7z archive into the engine folder.
