Renegade X expands on the ideas of the original, preserving its spirit and core mechanics, but offering significantly improved graphics, animations, and effects thanks to the use of Unreal Engine.
At the core of the gameplay are battles between the GDI and Nod factions, each of which has unique structures, vehicles, and special characters. Matches revolve around destroying the enemy base or completing tactical objectives. Players can use tanks, buggies, aircraft, artillery (including mortars and MRL launchers), sniper weapons and advanced gadgets, as well as choose classes with special abilities.
Tactical depth is achieved through economics: players earn credits and spend them on more powerful vehicles, elite fighters, and support. Maps contain key points that provide tactical advantages, such as control over a Tiberium field or access to secret paths.
The Renegade X community regularly updates the game, adds new maps, modes, and improvements, keeping the game alive. The project remains the most successful and high-quality unofficial continuation of C&C: Renegade's ideas, bringing together fans of the original and players seeking a dynamic team shooter with strong strategic elements.
