Half-Life: Echoes is a Half-Life modification that lets you experience the events of the original game from a different perspective while improving graphics and animations. You play as a scientist codenamed "Subject #12" who arrives at the Black Mesa Research Facility on the day of the disaster. Now his main goal is to survive amidst the chaos.

Half-Life: Echoes retains the classic gameplay of the original Half-Life while significantly expanding and deepening it. The early chapters are filled with a horror atmosphere - the player is almost unarmed and constantly faces tension and fear. As the game progresses, the action shifts to large-scale combat.

The story explores what would have happened at Black Mesa if Gordon Freeman never existed. The main character is someone else, whose goal is to survive and escape a dangerous situation filled with both shooter and horror elements.

The mod's development took about five years.
