Stronghold’s of Middle Earth 2 is a mod for Stronghold 2 dedicated to the world of Middle-earth. It replaces combat units, fortress walls, music, voiceovers, and factions, adding the atmosphere of the LOTR universe.

The modification aims to adapt Stronghold 2 to the Middle-earth setting. Many original textures are preserved, but the following have been completely reworked:
Military units and fortifications - standard troops and walls have been replaced with thematic ones for the Arnor and Gondor factions, including archers and other units fitting the Tolkien style.
Audio and speech - new music, sounds, and voice lines for AI lords and units have been added to match the LOTR atmosphere.
Faction choice for players - in the future, players will be able to choose which faction to play; some units are unique to Arnor and Gondor.
