Half-Life is Strange is a crossover between Half-Life and Life Is Strange, in which you get the chance to play through the Half-Life campaign as Max Caulfield — the queen of space and time, capable of rewinding time.
Half-Life is Strange is not an ordinary cosmetic reskin that replaces the silent scientist Gordon Freeman with Life is Strange protagonist Max Caulfield. The mod completely overhauls the main character and adds a fully realized time rewind mechanic, which allows you to undo recent actions, alter the course of events, and interact with what's happening inside the Black Mesa facility in entirely new ways. Remarkably, no previous mod for this legendary game had ever offered such a feature. Max retains Gordon Freeman's full original weapon arsenal. Additionally, unlike Gordon, she is fully voiced and delivers her signature quips, such as "Don't mess with Max, bitches."
At this time, the modification is in active development, and the author has not yet announced an exact release date or an approximate timeframe for a full release.
However, the Alternate Reality Pack is available. This mod is designed for the official Half-Life expansions Opposing Force and Blue Shift. It replaces all visual and audio references to Gordon Freeman with Max Caulfield. The mod adapts these storylines to an alternate reality, confirming that the incident at the Black Mesa Research Facility took place with Max Caulfield at the center of events.
