Half-Life: Starlight is a total conversion in the horror-fantasy genre with atmospheric locations. The player is transported to the dark world of Prospera, where angels and stars obey the White Angel. You are Iris, a fallen angel without wings or memory, torn by visions and nightmares, striving to uncover the mystery of your past.
Half-Life: Starlight combines horror, fantasy, and atmospheric exploration of vast unique locations. Players await a dark, emotional journey into Iris's nightmares, where the line between reality and illusion blurs, and each step leads to solving her past and confronting her own fears.
The mod relies on the Spirit of Half-Life engine capabilities and implements numerous improvements: unlimited objects on a single map, 3D skyboxes, dynamic weather (snow, rain, fog), particle effects, as well as a reworked combat system. Weapons feel heavier and more realistic, each shot has weight, and limited ammunition requires caution. This is complemented by inventory and improved movement mechanics.
Development has been ongoing since 2017, with many levels undergoing dozens of redesigns to achieve the necessary scale and atmosphere. Despite the fact that mainly one author is working on the project, Starlight already looks very promising. We, as players, can only hope and wait for the release of this unusual project.
