Half-Life: Zombie Edition - a unique mod where you play as a zombie or headcrab in the Half-Life world, featuring a mutation system, three classes, and upgrades. This perspective from the enemy's side, the one you used to fight against, makes the gameplay unlike anything else.

Half-Life: Zombie Edition turns the player into the enemy of the original game. You start as a headcrab, then become a zombie, choosing one of three classes: Crasher, Rusher, or Breeder. Each class has six upgrade branches (for damage, stamina, speed, etc.), adding RPG elements directly to Half-Life. This allows customizing your playstyle, like becoming a tank or a fast assassin, thanks to a flexible progression system.
Overall, Zombie Edition is an ambitious experiment that demonstrates the potential of the GoldSrc engine: despite its age, it is still capable of a lot. A great example of how a mod can breathe new life into a familiar universe.
