Opposing Force Redux is a large-scale mod for Half-Life: Opposing Force that completely overhauls the graphics and sound. New models, sprites, sounds, and refined maps bring the game's audiovisual elements up to modern standards.

The mod does not change the game's text, interface, or voice acting. It is compatible with all language versions.
What makes Opposing Force Redux interesting is its approach to modification. Instead of simply upgrading textures, the developers squeezed the maximum out of the original Half-Life engine, utilizing all its capabilities: transparency, chrome effects, additive textures. This creates a situation where the old technical foundation works at the limit of its possibilities, but the result looks impressive.
In total, the mod replaces over 560 sounds, 100 models, and 63 sprites. Most models consist of more than 1000 polygons each.
Features:
Numerous replaced elements
Completely new models of soldiers and male assassins
Weapons with extremely high polygon counts
Previously unseen models, such as the FM92 Stinger
All models with new skins, such as the Shock Trooper
So many sounds replaced that you won't recognize Black Mesa anymore
New weapon sprites and night vision
Feels like a new game
