HoMM3 ERA 3 (WoG) is a redesigned and expanded edition of the Wake of Gods mod for Heroes of Might and Magic III. ERA fixes numerous WoG bugs, adds XXL maps, a convenient mod manager, an improved map editor, enhanced graphics and interface, new landscape types, extended settings, and modern modding tools.

VCMI is an open-source engine that completely rewrites Heroes of Might and Magic III from scratch. It removes the limitations of the original code and focuses on modding support: adding new towns, heroes, creatures, artifacts, and spells. Most mods are installed through VCMI Launcher.
