The DinoHunt Corporation continues to provide people with the opportunity to hunt dinosaurs on the planet FMM UV-32, and new research is revealing more and more islands. The player creates or loads a profile, receives 100 credits, and spends them on choosing a location, target, weapons, and time of day. Each option has its own cost, and availability depends on the remaining credits. During the hunt, the player can carry multiple weapon types, and tranquilizing a target grants 25% more points. However, death results in the complete loss of earned credits, making it crucial to survive and await evacuation.

Each dinosaur reacts to the player differently: some pick up scents better, others have sharper hearing or vision. Herbivores may flee or attack when cornered, while predators can flank, pursue, or attack in groups. The environment also includes neutral creatures — moschops, gallimimus, dimorphodon, pteranodon, and others that award no points. The player explores forests, jungles, swamps, and mountainous regions using a map, compass, binoculars, and lures, sometimes spawning close to a target, which is dangerous when facing a predator.

The PC version features nine huntable species, with danger increasing alongside cost. Kills grant points that unlock new areas, weapons, and access to stronger dinosaurs. The player starts with herbivores but eventually gains the ability to hunt allosaurus, velociraptor, spinosaurus, ceratosaurus, and finally the tyrannosaurus — the most fearsome opponent requiring maximum preparation and caution.
