The Second Tiberium War is a global mod for Tiberian Sun that enhances all aspects of the game and offers a completely new story campaign where the fates of GDI, Nod, and mutants intertwine against a backdrop of political intrigue and the Brotherhood's revival.

The Second Tiberium War unleashes the full potential of the classic strategy game and brings it to a new generation. The mod not only improves graphics and technical aspects but also offers an entirely new story campaign with original characters and unexpected twists. It has everything: new infantry and vehicles, aviation and warships, reworked superweapons, updated interface, and detailed maps with dynamic lighting and the ability to choose time of day for battles.

The project is based on a fan-made Tiberian Sun client, built on the free version released in 2010. This allowed the authors to implement many improvements familiar from Red Alert 2, as well as add full multiplayer support through CnCNet.

Story
After GDI's victory in the First Tiberium War, General Mark Shepard leaves service. His grandson Joseph Shepard follows in his footsteps, joining GDI to help restore the tiberium-ravaged planet. However, everything changed due to a tragic event: during a mission to establish contact with mutants, the village is attacked by terrorists with a scorpion symbol. Their goal is to kidnap the mutant leader's daughter. Joseph leaves service and becomes a deserter. He swears to return the leader's daughter at any cost.
The year is 2047. The United Nations controls most world superpowers, intensifying the divide between rich and poor countries. Uprisings break out worldwide, and shadows of the past begin to stir. Rumors spread that Kane, leader of Nod, survived the destruction of his palace and is preparing a new world order. The Brotherhood rises under his banner, and soon the world is plunged into the flames of the Second Tiberium War.
Conclusion
Despite some controversial balance moments, the mod rightfully takes its place among the most successful projects on the Tiberian Sun engine, alongside Twisted Insurrection and Dawn of the Tiberium Age, offering a modern take on the classic and hours of thrilling battles.
