Diablo II is a legendary isometric action/RPG released in 2000 by Blizzard North. The game was not just a sequel but an evolution of the original Diablo, expanding the universe, deepening the mechanics, and becoming one of the most influential RPGs in history.

In Diablo II, the player had to go through five acts in a dark fantasy world, fighting armies of demons and hellish creatures to defeat the remaining Prime Evils - Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal. There were five classes to choose from (two more added in Lord of Destruction): Amazon, Barbarian, Necromancer, Paladin, and Sorceress. Each class had a unique skill tree, and the leveling and equipment system gave players great freedom in creating builds.

The game introduced many innovations: a loot system with item rarity, trading, the Horadric Cube, mercenaries, crafting, set items, runes, and unique item effects. The story became deeper, and the atmosphere even darker. All of this was enhanced by unforgettable music and a distinctive style that became a hallmark of the series.

Diablo II is also known for its role-playing and multiplayer components. It offered both offline and online modes, Battle.net support, PvP battles, and cooperative play. Thanks to its deep loot system, players were driven by the endless hunt for perfect gear.

The modding scene around Diablo II became one of the most active. Dozens of global mods were released, adding new classes, acts, mechanics, balance changes, and content. Even decades later, the game continues to thrive through mods, fan servers, and community-driven updates.

Today, Diablo II is not just a legend but a living standard for RPGs with replayability, depth, and modding support. Its legacy is visible in modern games, and its original formula still inspires developers and fans alike.
