Hexen: Edge of Chaos is a total conversion for Doom 3, reimagining the classic Hexen from 1995. The project aims to recapture the atmosphere of the original, where three heroes once again take up their iconic weapons to stop a new evil that has seized the world of Cronos.

The story takes place after the events of the expansion Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel. After defeating Korax, the heroes went their separate ways, but years later the world is once again under threat. Despite Korax's death, his influence continues to poison reality, spawning fear, madness, and a new incarnation of evil that the heroes must face.
Development began in 2004, shortly after the release of Doom 3 and its SDK. A small team of enthusiasts gradually developed the mod, publishing materials and showcasing progress. The project even made it into the top mods of the year, though it did not receive an award.
In 2010, a full trailer was released along with a demo featuring three levels. Later, following the release of the id Tech 4 engine's source code, the developers announced plans to turn the project into a standalone game with potential co-op and RPG elements — but unfortunately those plans were never realized, and the last activity from the developers was observed in 2014.
How to install a mod Hexen: Edge Of Chaos
Make sure you have Doom 3 v1.3.1 installed
Extract the eoc folder to the game's root directory
Run hexen_launcher.bat
Play!
