Bastardos

Bastardos is a true tribute to the era of classic retro shooters and the iconic spaghetti-western aesthetic of Sergio Leone. Originally developed by studio 88mmgames for iOS, the project was eventually carefully ported to PC by the community and is now available for free as a tribute to the golden age of games.

You'll step into the role of Boot McCane — a fearsome and charismatic outlaw. Your main goal is to make your way across the entire Wild West and single-handedly take down the dangerous "Bastardos" gang.

The gameplay offers classic frantic run 'n' gun action set among dusty saloons, canyons, and railroads. The levels turned out large, non-linear, and packed with secrets.

To clear out the locations, you have plenty of authentic weapons at your disposal — from twin revolvers and a deadly machete to a powerful shotgun, sawed-off, and a rapid-fire Gatling gun.

By collecting sheriff's stars as you progress, you build up a gauge for a unique ultimate ability that temporarily turns the hero into an unstoppable killing machine.

The gunfights feel fast and furious, though some bandits can seem overly tough, which only pushes you to combine your available arsenal more actively.

The sound design instantly immerses you in the atmosphere of "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and "A Fistful of Dollars." One of the campaign's highlights is a beautifully detailed level set on a speeding train, which genre fans will surely appreciate.
