Installation Instructions mod DOOM Eternal Suffering
To run the mod, you will need the LZDoom engine and doom.wad, doom2.wad, or one of the FreeDoom iwads as the iwad.
Make sure that doom.wad / doom2.wad or freedoom1.wad / freedoom2.wad is located in the folder with GZDoom
Move the mod's .pk3 file into the LZDoom folder
Drag and drop the .pk3 file onto lzdoom.exe
Play!
You can also create a Launcher.bat (shortcut) to run the addons that come bundled with this mod, since the load order of the mods matters for them.
How to create a launcher for running mods based on LZDoom
Create a text file in the LZDoom folder, you can name it Launcher. The text can look like this, depending on which files you are using.
lzdoom.exe -iwad freedoom2.wad -file "Eternal Suffering v2.3.pk3"-iwad must always come first, and the number of files after -file can be unlimited, just list them in quotes separated by spaces, for example like this:
lzdoom.exe -iwad doom2.wad -file "Eternal Suffering v2.3.pk3" "Super Gore Nest BETA.wad" "OTEX 1.1.wad" "LastWeapon (Weps Combo Addon).pk3" "TheDarkAges-SSG-Skin.pk3"Note that you will need to additionally download the OTEX 1.1 textures to play on the Super Gore Nest map, since the author did not include them in the build to save space.
Change the launcher's format from .txt to .bat by simply renaming it.
Now you can launch your builds by double-clicking this launcher.
