DOOM The Dark Hellforged is a Doom mod inspired by the latest game in the DOOM franchise, Doom: The Dark Ages, created by the developer of the DOOM Eternal Suffering mod.
DOOM The Dark Hellforge implements key mechanics from Doom: The Dark Ages: the ability to parry enemy attacks, deliver crushing blows with a shield-saw, smash demons with fists, and tear them apart with a massive flail. The gameplay revolves around close contact with the enemy, and some opponents throw projectiles that can be spectacularly deflected with a precise block.
The game features a special upgrade menu where modules can be unlocked for weapons — for example, incendiary rounds, fast reload, or an extra shot.
The mod is in an early stage of development, and the release date of DOOM The Dark Hellforge is not yet known.
