OpenTyrian2000 - an open source port of the Tyrian game, aimed at reproducing the Tyrian 2000 gaming experience as accurately as possible.

Tyrian is an arcade vertical scrolling shooter. The game's story takes place in 20031, where you play as Trent Hawkins, an experienced fighter pilot hired to fight MicroSol and save the galaxy.
Controls
Alt-Enter — toggle fullscreen mode
Arrow keys — ship movement
Space — fire weapon
Enter — toggle rear weapon mode
Ctrl/Alt — fire left/right side weapon
Network Multiplayer
Currently there is no arena in OpenTyrian2000, so network games must be started manually via command line simultaneously by both players.
Syntax: opentyrian2000 --net HOSTNAME --net-player-name NAME --net-player-number NUM
Where HOSTNAME is your opponent's IP address, NUM is 1 or 2 depending on which ship you want to control, and NAME is your nickname.
OpenTyrian2000 uses UDP port 1333 for multiplayer, but in most cases players don't need to open any ports since OpenTyrian2000 uses UDP Hole Punching.
Note that network play has not been tested for OpenTyrian2000.
How to install an engine OpenTyrian2000
Since the bundle includes the Tyrian2000 game, which became free, you just need to extract the archive and run opentyrian2000.exe to play.
