Xash3D FWGS - a fork of the Xash3D engine aimed at improving compatibility, performance, and functionality for running GoldSrc-based games such as Half-Life and its mods.

Development of Xash3D FWGS continues, unlike the original Xash3D, which is no longer maintained.

How to install an engine Xash3D FWGS

  1. Unpack the archive into any folder.

  2. Place the contents of the valve folder from the game's root directory into this folder.

  3. Run xash3d.exe.

  4. Play!

Note: If you have a non-x86 compatible CPU or you are using the 64-bit version of the engine, you may need to compile the Half-Life SDK.
