Half-Life: Induction is a modification for Half-Life that serves as a prologue to the original game. You play as Gordon Freeman the day before the Black Mesa disaster and meet Kleiner, Eli Vance, Barney, and other familiar characters.

Unpack the archive and move the induction-1.4 folder to the root directory of the game.
Launch the game, go to the Change game menu, and select the mod.
Or if you have the Steam version: close Steam and restart it. The mod will appear in your games list.

There's an "Advanced" tab in options where you can configure whether to draw subtitles or not.
