Oni is a dynamic 3D beat 'em up action game with shooter and adventure elements, developed by Bungie West and released in 2001. The game stands out with its unique style inspired by anime and cyberpunk, as well as a complex combat system featuring various hand-to-hand combat moves and the use of firearms.
The main heroine, Konoko, works for the "TechnoMat" organization, fighting a criminal syndicate in a futuristic city. The game combines level exploration, puzzle-solving, and battles with numerous enemies, giving the gameplay depth and variety.
Oni received recognition among genre fans for its atmosphere and combat mechanics, although at release it had some technical limitations, especially on PC. Despite this, the game developed a loyal fanbase.
