Localizations:
The mod is localized into 1 language
(You don’t need to download anything extra to play in these languages)
Typically, the modified executable file from this set is used instead of the original Vampire.exe and serves as an additional tool for modders or for advanced game launching.
Features
Universal executable file with over 60 built-in patches. All fixes are listed in "bin/loader/loader.ini". Includes improvements from Wesp's unofficial patches and the Bloodlines community (2 GB RAM, lighting, LOD, stats fixes, etc.).
Full support for all resolutions and aspect ratios, with proper UI scaling and field of view (FOV).
Source-style mod system: each mod is stored in a separate folder, without the need to duplicate the game installation.
Tools for translators: ability to edit embedded DLL texts and create custom fonts. The package includes language patches with support for non-English characters.
Support for ASI plugins to add custom fixes and features, managed through .ini files in bin/loader.
Open source code, allowing you to create and embed your own modifications directly into Vampire.exe — a flexible alternative to the ASI system.
Support for VPK file system for mods with separate directories (requires VPK Creator from Bloodlines SDK).
File Structure
Vampire.exe — main executable file with built-in loader and all necessary patches. Can work autonomously.
Loader.exe — menu for launching installed mods without the "-game modname" parameter.
Bin/loader/loader.ini — main configuration file with settings and fixes.
Bin/loader/localization.ini — file for translators with texts and fonts for hacking screens.
Bin/loader/*.vtm — directory of third-party ASI plugins (.vtm/.asi), which are loaded at game startup.
Vampire/dlls/ — additional files, e.g. Vampire.DLL v1.2.
The loader.ini and localization.ini files can be placed in "moddir/cfg" to override mod settings.
Using with Pre-Loader Era Mods
Rename the mod folder "Vampire" to any English name without spaces, e.g. "modname".
Place it in the game root.
Run Loader.exe and select the mod, or manually via: Vampire.exe -game modname
For Mod Creators
You can distribute loader files with the mod or modify them for compatibility with any game version. Loader.exe is not mandatory to transfer.
For mods with Python scripts: use the sys.moddir variable to specify the main mod folder. In fileutil.py insert after import nt:
import sysfrom sys import moddirReplace references to the "vampire" folder with moddir + "/..." or fileutil.moddir + "/...".
For Translators
Full translation support without additional plugins, including DLL strings and Hack-Terminal fonts.
For embedded texts use localization.ini, for loading priority — place it in cfg/.
Creating LCD fonts up to 140 characters via the Terminals Font section.
For interfaces and texts copy materials/fonts to the mod and edit the files. For precise settings use VtMBFontEditor.
For Plugin and Patch Creators
Source code in C/C++ with assembler elements is fully open (in Loader archive or Bloodlines SDK).
You can create ASI plugins (.vtm) or embed fixes directly into Vampire.EXE via vtm_hooks.cpp.
It is recommended to make fixes switchable via Loader.ini.
Additional Resources
Some fixes may require additional resources such as textures or fonts (specified in Loader.ini).
Examples:
Fix Menu Fonts — resource\trackerscheme.res
Title Dividers — cm_divider.tth
Separate Textures — materials\interface\widescreen
Buttons Shadows — buttons.tth
Use Localized Fonts — .fnt+.tth in materials/fonts and bin/loader/localization.ini
