C&C: VRM — a mod for Generals Zero Hour that replaces all fictional units, buildings, icons, sounds, and effects from Zero Hour with their most realistic real-world counterparts, while maintaining the original game balance. The goal is to completely overhaul the game's visual aspect without changing the gameplay.

C&C Generals: Visual Reality Mod is for those who have always been annoyed by the cartoonish style of the original Zero Hour and wanted to see the game in a more authentic style. The main idea of the project is to bring the visual aspect of Generals as close to reality as possible by reconceptualizing every object in the game and replacing it with the most suitable real-world prototype.
The developers aim for a total overhaul: units, buildings, icons, sound design, and particle effects are all being updated. Even if some units' abilities in the game don't match their real-world counterparts, the most suitable prototypes are still found to maintain a believable visual style.
The project doesn't touch Zero Hour's mechanics: stats, abilities, and balance remain the same as in the original. Thanks to this, players get a completely refreshed visual experience without any changes to the familiar gameplay, but with a noticeable emphasis on realism and modern military aesthetics.
