Half-Life: Extended is a large mod for Half-Life that expands the original campaign by combining content from Blue Shift and Opposing Force, adding new levels, reworking NPCs and maps, and increasing world detail. The campaign has become larger and more varied, making Half-Life: Extended feel like an almost entirely new game.

Black Ops is a single-player mod for Half-Life where you play as an agent of the elite Black Operations unit. Your mission is to eliminate the rogue scientist, the elusive Gallagher, and then return to Black Mesa with a bomb. The mod stands out with its vivid stylization — graphic comics instead of cutscenes, as well as atmospheric urban locations.
