Death Foretold brings the spirit of Doom 2016 into the framework of old Doom, emphasizing speed, mobility, and aggressive gameplay. Here, classic dynamics combine with double jumps, high vertical mobility, and projectile dodging, turning each battle into an intense and spectacular dance of survival.
The mod offers an extensive arsenal: from pistols and shotguns to miniguns, railguns, and the BFG9000, as well as a weapon modification system. Some upgrades can be switched during combat, while others work passively, changing weapon characteristics and adapting them to different playstyles. An important feature is the Glory Kills and enhanced melee combat interactivity.
Enemies and visual style are inspired by Doom 2016 but adapted to the classic foundation, which keeps the mod lightweight and optimized. It runs stably even on weak PCs and mobile devices through D-Touch, and is also compatible with older ports, including Zandronum and GZDoom, which is rare for modern mods of this scale.
Death Foretold was originally designed with multiplayer in mind: cooperative and Deathmatch are fully supported here, and weapons are specially rebalanced for online play. At the same time, difficulty settings are present, allowing the game to be made both accessible on smartphones and truly hardcore on PC.
In the end, this is a fast, meaty, and meticulously crafted mod that successfully combines old Doom with new ideas, offering intense action without excessive hardware requirements.

You can also create a Launcher.bat. This is useful for launching more complex mod builds where the loading order of mods is important, or to launch the game via a shortcut.
How to create a launcher for running mods based on GZDoom
Create a text file in the GZDoom folder, you can name it Launcher. The text can look like this, depending on which files you're using:
gzdoom.exe -iwad freedoom2.wad -file "brutalv22test4.pk3"-iwad must always be first, and the number of files after -file can be unlimited, just write them in quotes separated by spaces, like this:
gzdoom.exe -iwad doom2.wad -file "addon1.pk3" "addon2.pk3" "addon3.pk3" "addon4.pk3"Change its format from .txt to .bat by simply renaming it. Now you can launch your builds with a double-click on this launcher.
