IronTusks - Diablo 3D represents an unusual combination of a first-person shooter and a classic RPG in the spirit of Diablo. The mod transfers the familiar gameplay into FPS format while preserving the key elements of the series: a dark atmosphere, leveling, loot, and dangerous dungeons.

The player explores city districts and vast labyrinths, fights monsters, collects gold and equipment, uses magic potions, and interacts with the Guide - a merchant from whom you can purchase gear. The game features chests, hidden loot, alchemy, portals to town, and even the ability to acquire your own slaves, enhancing the feeling of control over the dungeon.

The story revolves around the invasion of Sanctuary by Diablo, the Lord of Terror. The hero must descend deep into the labyrinth and stop Diablo before he frees Mephisto and Baal. Character death is punished by loss of gold and experience, and large levels can easily confuse an unprepared player.

The mod offers 6 unique classes, each with their own abilities, playstyle, and damage resistances, as well as 9 difficulty levels. The resource system is divided into mana for skills and separate mana for weapons, which works like ammunition. The atmosphere is enhanced by music, sounds, and voices from Diablo 1 and 2, and the map design closely follows the original games in the series.

IronTusks - Diablo 3D is a large-scale and high-quality mod that successfully combines FPS and RPG, offering an unusual take on Diablo in the form of a Doom mod.
