ZPatch FO2 is a fan-made patch that improves the technical side of the game. It adds widescreen support, removes the FPS cap, enables borderless windowed mode, split-screen multiplayer, and much more.

Unzip the archive and place the contents into the root directory of the game.
If you are installing the patch on the new Steam version of the game, do not copy the FlatOut2.exe file, or you will lose access to the official online mode.
