Quake: Mjölnir is inspired by the game's early concept, in which the hero wields Thor's hammer and explores a medieval world filled with magic and monsters. The project combines the Lovecraftian horror of the original with dark fantasy and elements of Norse mythology.
The mod is built on Arcane Dimensions and incorporates content from other well-known projects such as Drake and Arms of Asgard. It offers an extensive arsenal of new weapons — from bows and staves to magical and explosive variations of classic guns — as well as diverse enemies including fantastical creatures such as goblins, dragons, and sorcerers.
The standout feature of Quake: Mjölnir is its enormous, detailed, and non-linear levels, especially in the fourth episode. How to install a mod Quake: Mjölnir
You will need one of the following engines to run the mod: IronWail, FTE-Quake, QuakeSpasm, QuakeSpasm-Spiked, VkQuake
If you are using the IronWail engine, replace the executable with the ironwail.exe found in the ironwail_qmastercompiled folder. You may also need to use IronWail v0.7, as it was compiled from source based on v0.7.0. This will help avoid certain issues with this engine.
Move the mjolnir folder to the game's root directory.
Create a shortcut to the executable and add -game mjolnir to the target field.
Launch the game using the created shortcut.
