Pro Gen Mod: Unofficial Extension — an addon for Pro Gen Mod v2.6: Director Cut, which evolved from a Challenge mode update into a major expansion. It fixes bugs, refines generals, adds cut units and features, eliminates crashes on Challenge mode maps, improves balance, AI, and stability.

The addon extends Pro:Gen through deep refinement of all generals, targeted balance changes, and restoration of hidden content. One key example is the Guardian Drone restored from the prototype — a light anti-tank drone created based on leftover code and models in the files. It complements Alexander's vehicle lineup and compensates for her expensive ground units. Alongside it, an experimental artillery unit Virtue has been added for Townes, serving as a laser equivalent of heavy long-range artillery.

Other changes include modifying TOW missile damage for humvees, adjusting microwave vehicle mechanics, new drone parameters, fixes to individual generals' abilities and units. Gameplay-affecting bugs have been fixed: incorrect Chinese supply center unloading at night, inability for infantry to enter transport for certain generals, interface visual glitches, and other technical inconsistencies.

A major block of changes concerns Challenge mode: crashes and errors on Ironside, Leang, Townes, and Deathstrike maps have been eliminated, incorrect behavior of hidden superweapons fixed, attack waves and individual scripts reworked. On the Juhziz map, the unstable underground tunnel system causing lag and incorrect unit movement has been disabled.

The skirmish issue where some generals could surrender prematurely when starting with $5000 has also been fixed. The mod includes additional technical and visual fixes — from improving laser effects to adjusting individual units and scenarios.

The developer's plans include new vehicle variants for certain generals, expanding AI capabilities, additional units, upgrades, and developing individual faction mechanics. The addon is gradually transforming into a broad enhancement over Pro:Gen, combining gameplay improvements, general refinements, Challenge mode fixes, and restoration of cut content.
