The mod does not change the game's text, interface, or voice acting. It is compatible with all language versions.
Originally, this unofficial .exe file was intended for playing through the old OpenSpy: it was used for many years after the original online mode was shut down in 2014, when official servers stopped working due to GameSpy's closure.
In 2024, the first official update in many years was released by ZOOM Platform, which restored online play support through OpenSpy. However, along with this update, controversial changes were introduced to the game, which caused some modders to fundamentally refuse to support the new version and continue releasing mods only for the old version 1.2.
Therefore, the author of this modification edited the .exe file so that the new online through OpenSpy could be used while maintaining compatibility with the old version 1.2 of the game - the one that existed before the ZOOM Platform 2024 update.
