Installation Instructions mod Stronghold 2 Crusader Matteele Edition

  1. Place the contents of the archive into the game folder (it is recommended to make a backup).

  2. Play!

Localization

The mod contains a modified English interface, so if you want to keep the original game localization, open the i18n folder and in it the lang.txt file, then replace the text en-us with the name of your language. Besides English (en-us), the languages de and ru are available.

If you want to localize the game interface into other languages, open one of the .xml files in the i18n folder with a text editor. There you will see lines where the second line is the original English text and the third is your translation.

By default, the mod uses English voices, so before installing the mod, delete the fx folder in the game directory, and rename the folder fx - No English to fx.

New story cutscenes are only available in English, and nothing can be done about it. To watch them separately, find the videos in the ui/video folder.

If you want to play as the Arabs

You can change the flag by opening the crests folder and renaming the file crest1-arab to crest1.

You can also change your lord to Saladin by opening the meshes folder and renaming the file hammer.uni to lord.uni.

Historical campaign

A set of 15 maps recreated from the original SHC game. They are located in the "Paths of the Desert" (campaign "Path of Peace") as custom maps.
