Venetica is a role-playing game released in 2009 by Deck13 Interactive and published by DTP Entertainment. The game stands out with its atmospheric Gothic setting, blending mysticism and the history of Renaissance Venice.
Compared to other RPGs of its time, Venetica focuses on story and world exploration, as well as an original combat system combining action and tactics. The player controls Victoria, a girl gifted with the ability to talk to the dead, who must save the city from an impending threat.
Players noted the rich atmosphere, interesting characters, and well-developed plot, although they criticized outdated graphics and technical issues. Venetica has a small but dedicated fan base that appreciates its unique Gothic ambiance.
Regarding modding, there is no active community or major modifications. However, there are texture packs improving graphics that help maintain interest in the game.
